v2026.1001.0 Breaking

Breaking Changes

  • Legacy Composio broker retired — API-key catalog method, broker clients, and the Services tab are removed. Existing legacy Composio connections stop working — recreate via the MCP aggregator connectors (see Upgrade Guide).
  • Execution harnesses default to full auto — Native runs default Claude/ACPX to approve-all, OpenCode to allow, and Codex to approval-and-sandbox bypass. Explicit restrictive modes are preserved; Neuro OS approval decisions still enforce controller authority.

Highlights

  • Agents get faces — Static persona images replace agent icons across lists, org charts, tasks, and dashboards, with an animated pointer-following character in the agent header.
  • Agents review your pull requests — Guided setup turns a Neuro OS agent into a GitHub review bot with scheduling and optional required checks. GitHub MCP gains the Actions toolset.
  • Approvals and answers queue during active runs — Responding mid-run no longer bounces: resolved cards project into the run queue, and typed context survives interruption.
  • Slack setup, rebuilt — Six-step onboarding with credential validation, live account-link status, and a mention-based message test. Companies can attach communication guidance to a Slack connection.
  • Connector catalog grows — Railway arrives with governed deployment tools. Experimental MCP aggregators (Zapier, Arcade, Composio Connect, Executor) land behind enableMcpAggregators. You.com search joins the catalog.
  • Routines get safe webhooks — Production trigger wizard adds schedule and webhook choices, one-time credentials, and warnings for URLs that may not be publicly reachable.

Improvements

  • Skills from work — A runner tool turns a completed task’s learnings into a company skill; the first onboarding task runs through a dedicated skill on Claude and Codex.
  • Plugins load image catalogs — Catalog identities, confined paths, package versions, and bundle hashes are validated before importing code.

Fixes

  • Chat composer on desktop — The send button no longer starts out disabled while the pause-status check is pending (also shipped as v2026.916.1).
  • Native runner reliability — Approval and Stop races settle during cleanup; provider sessions persist across turns; Daytona sessions reconnect after controller restart.
  • Server correctness — PostgreSQL recovers after a transaction connection closes; malformed JSON requests get a safe 400; Sentry attributes to the loaded source release.

Upgrade Guide

  • Migrations 0280–0283 run on upgrade (personas, routine webhooks, Slack guidance, GitHub review bots).
  • Legacy Composio: enable enableMcpAggregators, create a new Composio Connect MCP connection, re-select access rules, then remove retired legacy records.
  • Set an explicit restrictive mode on agents that must keep provider-side approval gates.
